This report is the ninth edition of the study of the market of sulfuric acid and oleum in the CIS countries.

Market monitoring has been conducted since 2002 .

The purpose of the study is the analysis of the Russian and CIS countries of sulfuric acid markets.

The object of study is sulfuric acid and oleum.

A distinctive feature of this study is the inclusion in the objects of study in addition to sulfuric acid (monohydrate, spent sulfuric acid) and oleum (production and supplies by producer). The sources of raw materials used are described in sufficient detail, and the directions and volumes of its supplies are given.

In addition, the review contains detailed information on the sulfuric acid market of all CIS countries (including Ukraine), whose contribution to the total output of the products in the post-Soviet space is very noticeable.

The presented work is a desk study . The sources of information were the UN databases (UNdata), the Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including the Rosstat, the SSC of Ukraine, the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan), the customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, and the official statistics of railway transportation of the RF; materials of the sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, Internet sites of enterprises-producers and consumers of sulfuric acid, as well as the database "InfoMine".

Chronological framework of the study: 1994-2018; the forecast is 2019-2025.

Geography research : Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Belarus and other CIS countries - a general retrospective analysis of the market.

The report consists of 7 parts, contains 125 pages, including 53 tables, 29 figures and 3 annexes.

The first chapter of the report provides information on methods for producing sulfuric acid and raw materials used in industry, and the directions and volumes of supplies of raw materials to producers of sulfuric acid.

The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the production of sulfuric acid for the period 1994-2018. in the CIS. This section presents data on production volumes, traced the dynamics of production of these products by enterprises in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, reviewed the current status of the main producers of sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation. The data on the available raw material base, production volumes, plans for the development of enterprises, as well as data on the volumes and directions of product supplies in recent years are given.

In the third chapter , foreign trade operations with sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation and Ukraine are reviewed with an analysis of the volumes and directions of export-import supplies.

The fourth chapter is devoted to the consideration of the dynamics of prices for sulfuric acid in the domestic Russian and foreign markets of the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

The fifth chapter of the report considers the consumption of sulfuric acid in Russia. In this section, a balance of production and structure of consumption of this product is drawn up, the main areas of application and the main enterprises-consumers of sulfuric acid are considered, and methods for utilization of excess sulfuric acid are described.

In the sixth chapter some aspects of the transportation of sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation are considered.

The seventh chapter gives a forecast of the production of sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025.

The appendices provide the addresses and contact information of the main enterprises-producers and consumers of sulfuric acid, as well as internal plant consumption of sulfuric acid by manufacturers.
