Why Indonesia
 受全球瞩目的印尼－2010年将成为全球最大稻米输出国
IBC Asia所主办第14届World Rice Commerce会议，今年将于印尼召开。近年来印尼由于投资家热络，加上政府政策之配合，使得印尼成为稻米供应最具潜力之国家。
- 以中东各国为首之稻米进口国政府正在呼吁扩大对外国投资，农业领域的投资家们，正将注意力集中在拥有巨大资源与耕地的印尼。
- 印尼预定提供广大耕地给印尼与沙乌地阿拉伯投资家共同设立的公司，这个土地将主要作为种植稻米之用。由此可见印尼将成为全球最重要之稻米输出国。其中特别令人注目的是Saudi BinLadin Group计画对拥有50万公顷农地的Papua州，稻米生产农家进行近30亿美元的投资。
- 印尼政府已经公告计画发展Merauke Integrated Food & Energy Estate(MIFEE)之计划，计画完成后，预期印尼将成为亚洲最大据点。
- 此外，印尼在2008年收成约100～120万吨稻米，为了缓和粮食不足的情形，将检讨进行部分输出。
