由于生物学研究的信息量爆炸性增加，在分子生物学的领域达成许多进步，用来使定序（genomic sequencing）迅速化的高度技术和机器亦不断进步。因此，能使生物学研究和临床医学更加发展，透过与遗传性疾病和后天性疾病、癌等直接有关系的基因调查及分析等找到治疗法。此外，如果使用计算机的工具和手法，能找到疾病的分子基础，就有可能设计出以成为疾病原因的基因作为标的之医药品。
以疾病和癌治疗目的而制作的信息量持续增加中，提高能将庞大数据转换成有益生物学知识之计算机储存系统、处理系统和送信系统的必要性。此学会中，业界和政府机关、医疗机构的专家齐聚一堂，展开有关核酸排列和蛋白质排列之信息和构造信息的注释、保存、分析、检索等具说服力的议论，并介绍最佳经验。此外，亦预定举行有关内容和分析软件、服务、IT基础设施等的演讲及专题讨论会。
Who should attend: Executives, Directors, Senior Scientists and Project or Group Leaders from pharma, biotech, academia and healthcare organizations working in Drug Discovery Informatics, R&D Informatics, Bioinformatics, Research Informatics, Translational Informatics, Cancer Computational Biology, Data Screening, Cancer Discovery and Scientific Information Systems

The deadline for submission is July 29, 2011.
All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
