Delivering on the Broadband Promise: Proven Services, Best Practices, and Directions Forward
Wednesday, 6 June | 14:00 – 16:00
This Executive Roundtable is a special invitation-only session for senior-level IEC Corporate Members and industry executives.

This executive roundtable will look at the experiences of carriers to date in realizing next-gen services success. It will look at research findings that indicate which emerging broadband services are winners in terms of revenue and uptake and how best to deliver them. Such applications include gaming, mobile video, multimedia messaging, IPTV, next-gen enterprise data services, and VoD. It will examine success stories to determine optimal strategies for service delivery and management and who is realizing significant ROI on these applications. The session will critically evaluate both the wireless and wireline contexts for these services, as well as the critical role of the content owner/provider in achieving success. Business models and strategies for leveraging the legacy network will be discussed, as well as the latest options for network migration that hold promise for increased service provider revenue and market growth. The emphasis will be on evaluating real-world lessons to date with an eye toward identifying and refining future strategy.
