2002年以后，在美国每年举办的Bio-IT World Conference & Expo，在生物医学研究与创药事业领域应用IT及信息所产生的解决方案，因作为许多展出的重要活动，建立了稳固的地位。往年来自24个国家、聚集1,500人以上参加者的此活动，以生物IT相关技术等为主题，约进行140件发表，展示会场有超过75家的展出企业。此外，Bio-IT World Conference & Expo亦与生命工学领域的国际生物科技展览会BIOTECHNICA合作，继续绝佳的教育内容。

今年第2届的Bio-IT World Conference & Expo EUROPE分成4个部会，每个部会进行1日半的各种会议。今年为因应生命科学、药学、临床医学、IT等专家面临的技术、研究、及法规面的课题，预定举办介绍最佳经验与个案研究的研讨会。
