Abstract

This IDC study focuses on the deployment and utilization of enterprise telecommunications services in Malaysia based on company employee size. The survey findings reveal the Internet usage of the small, medium, and large enterprises and also exhibit the IP VPN usage trend among the business enterprises in Malaysia.

According to Esther Gan, associate market Analyst, IDC Malaysia, "On the macro level, findings indicate enterprises are moving toward adopting newer technologies and applications such as IP telephony (IPT), IP VPN, and video and multimedia streaming applications as well as elearning. However, this move will not take place overnight and the majority of the respondents noted these plans would take 12.24 months to materialize."
