This IDC study provides information as well as insights into the scenario development and dynamics, market size, and forecast trends within the mobile online gaming (MobOG) environment of Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ.
"The number of mobile online gamers in the APEJ in 2007 was 97.6 million and is expected to reach 241.6 million by 2012, with the People' s Republic of China (PRC) and India being the top 2 countries," says Ang Poon Wei, market analyst, Software Research, IDC Asia/Pacific. "The development of MobOG in APEJ will remain fragmented as rich multimedia content relies a lot on the mobile infrastructure of the country."
